Dear Camerata Baltimore Community,
We want to take a moment to share an important update about the future of Camerata Baltimore.
After thoughtful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone our traditional performance season this year as we take time to restructure and re-envision the operation, flow, and overall structure of Camerata Baltimore. We want to be clear: This is not a goodbye.
It is a strategic pause—a season of preparation, reflection, and transformation. While our traditional concert programming will be abbreviated, Camerata Baltimore will remain active throughout this year through community engagement, educational outreach, and meaningful opportunities to connect through music and the arts.
We believe that organizations, like artists, must be willing to evolve. This period will allow us to examine who we are, how we serve our audiences and communities, and how we can create an even more meaningful experience for our singers, supporters, and audiences. And when we return to the stage, we want you to experience something fresh.
Beginning with the 2027–2028 season, Camerata Baltimore will introduce a restructured performance model featuring a fresh, innovative approach to choral performance and audience engagement. We are taking this time to imagine what the future of Camerata Baltimore can look like—and we are excited about what is ahead.
To everyone who has sung with us, attended our concerts, supported our programs, shared our music, volunteered, donated, or simply believed in our vision: thank you.Your support has helped Camerata Baltimore grow, and your continued support will help us enter this next chapter stronger, more focused, and more innovative.
So, stay connected with us. Continue to follow us, participate in our community and educational initiatives, and watch as we prepare for what comes next.Camerata Baltimore is not going away. We are evolving. And when we return, we believe you will hear—and experience—the difference.
Thank you for believing in Camerata Baltimore. We look forward to seeing you again in the 2027–2028 season.Until then, keep exploring, keep learning, keep creating, and most importantly— keep making music.
With Gratitude,
James Mayo III
